Slovak Documentary Photo

is an initiative of a group of Slovak photographers. Our aim is to become eye witnessses of our time. We understand that Slovakia is in a state of transition, the Slovak people and their life is changing, while the Slovak documentary and press photography that should reflect these changes, is in deep decline. Except of few creative individuals there's little in the field of photography to show to the world. We are convinced that rather than lack of creative potential, this situation was caused by lack of conditions for systematic documentary work. We believe that the documentary photography does have an important role as a unique media. That's why we are here.
